MRS GUCCI THE CONCERT - LONDON
Entirely based on court transcripts and verbatim reports, Mrs Gucci is the amazing true story of Patrizia Reggiani Martinelli, daughter of a truck driver, who marries Maurizio Gucci, the shy son of the famously bullying Milan Fashion clan. He rejects his father to marry her and is excluded from the company. For ten years they are happy and live a fairy tale life, becoming an iconic couple in Italy, akin to Elisabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, or Aristotle Onassis and Jacqui Kennedy.
The West End World Premier Concert Performance of Mrs Gucci was performed at the Arts Theatre London on October 13th 2013.
Julie Atherton will be sang the role of Patrizia Reggiani Martinelli (formerly Gucci) currently serving a 26 year prison sentence in San Vittore in Milan for murder.
Her dead husband, former director of the famous fashion house, Maurizio Gucci, was sung by Bart Edwards.
His cousin, Paolo Gucci, was sung by Graham MacDuff.
The part of Patrizia’s counsellor and psychic guru, Pina Auriemma, also serving a life sentence for murder, was sung by Sophie-Louise Dann.
